Clowning
San José, Costa Rica --- Clowning in Hospitals and Low-Income Communties
Taking place in hospitals, orphanages, nursing homes, ... - the intent of the work is to assemble 'a clown family' from people coming from all corners of the globe, across generations, with all levels of experience to explore and exchange healing, playfulness, love, performance, community, and culture. Efforts formed and affiliated with Hunter Doherty "Patch" Adams, American physician, comedian, social activist, clown, and author who founded the Gesundheit! Institute.
Sharing the institute's groundbreaking methodologies in promoting health and healing in communities all over the world (intended for healthcare professionals interested in magnifying their healing power), efforts were led encouraging people to become the principal agents in their own healing, as well as the healing connections with patients/people.
